A mentor who knows this process inside out. A plan built entirely around your student.

Whether your student is at the very beginning of this journey or approaching senior year, I offer services designed to meet your family exactly where you are.

How I work with families.

I offer three ways to work together — from a comprehensive, multi-year partnership to targeted standalone support. All sessions are available in person or via Zoom, and every engagement means working directly with me from start to finish.

  • The full journey, from start to finish.

A multi-year partnership that begins wherever you are — 9th, 10th, or 11th grade — and continues through your student's college commitment. Together we map the timeline, discover what makes your student truly come alive and find meaningful ways to pursue it, build a balanced college list, and navigate every piece of the application — with consistent, personalized support every step of the way.

  • Before you submit, let's make sure the person reading it sees exactly who you are.

College applications are reviewed quickly — often in under ten minutes. I'll read your full Common App the same way an admissions reader would, then we'll meet live to talk through my honest impressions and map out ways to strengthen every part before you hit submit. From there, you're welcome to take my feedback and work independently — or we can continue working together on revisions at an hourly rate.

  • One session. Real confidence.

Drawing on my experience interviewing for The Gates Scholarship and The Hotchkiss School, I'll give your student the coaching, preparation, and honest feedback they need to walk in (or log on) feeling genuinely ready to tell their story.

  • “Eila is exceptional. She writes beautifully, has incredible research skills, and has a warmth and kindness that is truly sincere. She connects well with all types of people and is highly intellectual and intuitive…”

    Former Secondary School Counselor

  • “Eila is organized and detailed… I have really enjoyed how friendly and kind she has been through this process.”

    Application Review Parent

  • “Every school on our family’s college list feels like it was chosen with my child's academic profile and our family's specific priorities in mind.”

    Ridgeline Comprehensive Parent

  • “I wanted to thank you for all the support you've given me, from taking the time to hear my story to advocating for me and helping me communicate my story so well. I'm excited to share that I will be attending Harvard College this fall! It was such a pleasure meeting you, and I'm truly grateful for your help. I hope we can keep in touch.”
