Everyone Deserves a Clear Path

Access

Every student deserves a clear path to college. Not every family can afford someone to help them find it. Ridgeline College Consulting is intentionally a small, highly personalized practice, built around giving every student the time and attention they deserve. Because of that, I set aside part of my time each year to offer the same mentorship to teens for whom individualized college counseling might otherwise be out of reach.

What I bring to this work

In addition to reviewing thousands of college applications and participating in admissions decisions, I've served as a Volunteer College Coach with Future 5, a Stamford-based nonprofit; a Finalist Interviewer for The Gates Scholarship; and a long-time reader for QuestBridge's College Match program, evaluating applications from high-achieving students who are seeking four-year scholarships.

Working alongside these students has deepened my appreciation for how different the college process can look when a student is the first in their family to pursue higher education or when financial aid shapes every decision. I recognize that the path to college isn't equally straightforward for every student—and that doesn't faze me.

The goal is the same for every student I work with: to help them find a college where they will thrive.

Personalized Attention

Because I work 1:1 with every student, I intentionally take on only a small number of families each year. I look for teens who are ready to engage fully in the college process by showing up, following through, and embracing the thoughtful work that a strong application requires.

If that sounds like you (or your teen), I'd love to hear from your family.
